Accreditation
RCAA proposes to accredit rehabilitation counsellors, this process will be in place as soon as possible. An accredited member will have gained at least 100 accreditation points in a calendar year.
Accreditation activities will include:
- Hours of professional practice
- Attendance at professional development
- Presentations at professional development activities
- Attendance at conferences
- Presentations of papers, workshops or posters at conferences
- Completion of continuing education
- Teaching in Rehabilitation Counselling courses
- Other activities deemed as appropriate, for example: Participation in CRSA Networks of Excellence, Publication of reviews of books relevant to rehabilitation in relevant publications.
