Your opportunity

We are looking for a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant (Psych or Rehab Counsellor) to join our successful Different Employer team in Darwin. Relocation assistance will be provided for the successful candidate.

Working with people who have sustained a psychological or physical injury, you will be responsible for assessing their needs, then developing and implementing strategies to enable a safe return to work with a new employer as part of their rehabilitation. This will include providing job seeking and candidate marketing services (and other similar services), to assist your client successfully locate new employment.

Like our best performers, you will be a driven and energetic professional, with strong verbal and written communication skills. You will have the confidence to utilise initiative to solve problems and achieve outcomes. Your personable approach will assist to manage stakeholder expectations and to build strong relationships with key customers.

You will also have:

Provisional or Full Membership with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency);

Associate or Full membership with RCAA or ASORC;

Experience in or the ambition to start a career in Occupational Rehabilitation;

Experience working within the Employment Services Sector (desired not essential);

A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and the health benefits of work;

The ability to grow our services and build strong relationships with key customers;

Current driver's license and motor vehicle.

What will your role look like?

You will utilise your specialist knowledge and skills to assist people to return to meaningful engagement in occupations

maintaining quality and customer care whilst achieving or exceeding targets through a supportive environment. 

Engaging with key stakeholders and building strong relationships to facilitate the achievement of business objectives

Who you are:

AHPRA, ASORC or RCAA  registered

Comcare accredited (desirable but not essential)

Experienced in Occupational Rehabilitation (at least 12 months)

Relish the prospect of being a person who is inspired to make an impact to the lives of others

Experienced in rehabilitation, clinical or occupational health settings

Exemplary communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of people

Business acumen and the motivation to achieve financial targets
