    The opportunity now exists for a Rehabilitation Consultant (Psychologist or Rehab Counsellor) to join our team of Allied Health professionals in Lismore.

    What the role involves

    Conducting assessments including vocational, initial rehabilitation, rehabilitation assessments and worksite assessments

    Planning, coordinating and monitoring implementation of Konekt programs including complex case management of same and new (redeployment) employer, avocations and job seeking programs, and pre-employment screening

    Results-focused case management - achieving safe and durable Return to Work, or optimal function outcomes within case outcome, duration and cost guidelines

    Meeting or exceeding targets/KPIs while maintaining quality and customer care

    Liaising with key stakeholders and building strong relationships to facilitate the achievement of business objectives

    What you need

    AHPRA, ASORC or RCAA registration

    Comcare accreditation (desirable)

    Experience in rehabilitation, clinical or occupational health settings

    Relevant tertiary education in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling

    Exemplary communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of people

    Business acumen and the motivation to achieve financial targets

    Current registration with RCAA or ASORC;

    Vocational rehabilitation is for those passionate about work; work being key in rehabilitation, health and well-being. It provides Rehabilitation Counsellors with the opportunity to facilitate a person’s safe and durable return to work in line with their psychological / functional capacity, where they have sustained a psychological / physical injury. It is challenging, rewarding and skill-developing for those passionate about helping people return to occupation in all its forms.

    The role is primarily focused on partnering with individuals who have a psychological or physical injury, their employers, treatment providers and the scheme agents, to enable a safe and durable return to good work. This would include undertaking necessary discipline specific assessments, the co-ordination and development of rehabilitation programs in conjunction with all parties, job seeking activities as well as clinical reasoning to support and guide a return or maintenance of meaningful occupation.
